The Weight Of Narrowing Time was brewed using Pilsner and 2-Row barley, along with a very generous portion of Flaked Rice. Hopped in the kettle using Mosaic and CItra, then dry-hopped with Mosaic Cryo and Galaxy. Fermented using one of our favorite ale yeast strains.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing; looks nice. Aroma of mildly caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, orange, grapefruit, pine and a hint of dankness. Flavor is lightly caramel malt, citrus, dank and piney hops, orange, grapefruit, mild catty dankness and resinous pine; a delightful light stone fruit profile develops mid taste and then this finishes with citrus rind and piney bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A fine West Coast leaning IPA with the requisite citrus and pine, but with the very welcome mid-taste fruit notes. This is a great example of the newer style of WC IPAs incorporating hop fruit flavors, but retaining the classic basics of hops including solid bitterness. Also the kind of IPA that makes me wish for the good old days when, if you found an ale you really liked, you could expect to buy it regularly. I'd like to see this again.
