Servant of the Secret Fire was brewed using Pilsner and Two-Row barley, along with flaked oats and malted white wheat. Hopped from the lowest dungeon to the highest peak with Citra, Nelson, and El Dorado. This one is big and juicy with some nice hop bite and notes of overripe honeydew and peach rings.

Look - Pours a somewhat hazy straw color with a huge head that sticks around quite awhile.
Smell - Light hops.
Taste - A very mellow hoppy flavor. Not as strong as I'm used to; perhaps because this isn't an 'imperial' IPA.
Feel - Very easy drinking, but maybe just lacking slightly in flavor.
Overall -I really like how drinkable this. The hop flavor is mellow, which makes it super easy drinking.

Appearance: A bubble show builds a magnificant three finger head over the cloudy golden liquid; and the head just sticks and sticks, leaving a curtain of lacing along with dancing shards
Smell: Papaya, pineapple and honeydew with a hint of white wine grape
Taste: Papaya and pineapple forward with the honeydew melon becoming dominant; a bit of breadiness, as well; the white wine grape is a substitute for the typical citrusy flavors I taste in the mid-palate of most NE IPAs; the finish is strong on the honeydew
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied and creamy, with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: The Pilsner malt makes a difference here and the hop bill works very well with it; I like a little more bitterness but that is a quibble as this is truly outstanding
