Brownish black opaque body with an initial brown cap, then settles into a ring. I really do get the maple candied pecans amongst the molasses rich bourbon barrel, baker’s chocolate, caramel, and vanilla supporting. Taste has maple and caramel in a very big sweet way with chocolate sauce, then bourbon and minor raisin next in a lesser wave, raw pecan, oak, and slight earth finish. The sweetness does add up as you go. Feel is warm and sweet, lighter than expected but still plenty thick, sugars are unavoidable, especially as it warms. A dessert stout for autumn
