look: one finger white head which quickly dissipates, beer is a dark amber to copper colour, tonne of sediment rolling around the glass.
smell: really funky, brett and lacto, white wine, grape, apricot, vinegar, gooseberry, nicely sour and tart and fruity, brown bread, hint of caramel sweetness, smells great.
taste: well and truly odd, loads of brett character, nicely sour, lot of blackcurrant actually, cherry, gooseberry, apricot, tart, vinegar, white and brown bread, caramel, light bitterness on the finish, sweet fruit flavours and sourness lingers on the finish.
feel: light bodied, very light carbonation, quite watery, strength is entirely hidden, honestly could be a third of its abv, strange.
overall: an odd, odd beer, like barley wines so often are i suppose, the brett and lacto make it exceptionally strange, nice enough however.
