Nutty brown ale with subtle hints of coffee and cocoa. Perhaps some faint honey as well. A solid but, standard example of an English brown ale.

On tap at Rok House Brewing Company in Upland, CA.
Pours a hazy orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, roasted nut, and burnt caramel aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, nut, and slight caramel flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of toast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with solid aromas, but the flavors aren't quite as good.
Serving type: on tap.
