From the half liter bottle, it pours a clear golden color with a modest white head that slowly reduces. The nose gets a nice dose of malt with some grassiness. The mouth follows with a pleasant, easy drinking but slightly sharp tasting malty brew. Interesting take for a Christmas Bock, but pretty decent overall.

Pours a deep golden coloration with a small, foamy head that fades quickly. Smells of doughy, slightly grainy malt and quite grassy and herbal hops. Taste is a good balance of doughy, slightly grainy and caramelly malt and bitter, grassy, herbal and spicy hops, with hints of black pepper and a certain mineral note coming through in the aftertaste. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grainy malt, herbal hops and a certain mineral note lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This "Christmas Bock", essentially a Heller Bock, has got a pretty good balance of sweet malts and bitter, grassy/herbal hops to it, although it really feels more like a Maibock than what you would expect from a "Christmas Bock", basically being a bit darker, fuller and with more dark fruit and spice notes. Nevertheless, there's a certain richness to this, while it remains surprisingly easy-drinking for the ABV. Perhaps not a great "Christmas Beer", but it still makes for a nice Heller Bock with a good balance of sweet and bitter notes, although that certain mineral presence in the aftertaste drags this down a little.

Labeled as Mai bock. 500ml bottle MHB: 08.09.11.
It pours a deep helles gold with a nice bright white head that produces some very nice lacing.
The scent is malty and fruity.
It is a full-flavored maibock for sure. It has a n abundance of springy fruit flavors but a nice sweet denseness from the malt. The drinkability is amazing for the style and the abv.
I really enjoyed this one.

Golden very clear and limpid yellow colour. Medium foam, white.
Smell of malt, dried flowers, hay.
The taste is dry and light. The alcohol is not noticeable, but even the rest is few noticeable. It is a bit anonimous.
It slips away too easily. It has no defect (maybe a hint of oxidation in the smell), but also it has nothing remarkable.
Medium-light body, aftertaste of malt and alcohol.
