Our take on a German Style Altbier and based on a traditional German recipe. Flavors of roast and nuttiness stick out in this mellow drinker.

On-tap at Cold Water Brewery & Grill, South Lake Tahoe, CA
A: The beer is light brown when viewed from afar; when held up to the light it is clear amber in color with no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high light beige head that left a short head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of amber malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has light flavors toasted and pale malts with hints of roasted malts in the finish. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is malty but not that heavy on the palate. It is a good American representation of a German beer style.
