This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a slightly dark amber close to brown color with a lasting finger’s worth of messy white foamy head. Lace was messy and sliding. The aroma had some caramel/toffee malts, light biscuits, some sweet fruits-raspberries? - not sure - different, but I liked it. Light lingering earthy hops. The flavor was moderately sweet through the blend of the prior mentioned aromas. Earthy hop bite entered a bit firmer here. Aftertaste was somewhat malty with a bitterness trying to make a slight presence. Finish was balanced between hop abrasion and malty smoothness. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good. Overall, pretty good brown ale that I could come back to. Looking forward to getting to try more from this brewer.
