Can thanks to rudzud
Pours a nice frothy bubbly head about 1 finger with moderate retention, some lacing, hazy sediment filled pale color

Nose starts with a decent gose, raw doughy malt, bready cracker, little tartness, some green apple, hint of salt, and a touch of watermelon barely any

Taste more gose out front, lots of dough, cracker, malty raw bread dough, some yeasty notes and a little lactic tartness, green apple and a weird flavor I'm not a fan of but i can't put my finger on it, a little sour watermelon candy, a hint of salt on the back end but barely, no real spice, flemmy acidic lemonade on the finish, finally getting a bit more watermelon, like lemonade with a bit of green apple and watermelon

Mouth is light bod, a bit flemmy and acidic, a bit low on the carb, astringent on the finish

overall not bad but has some flaws. Seems to have fermented a bit too much in the can and got some sediment and a little acetaldehyde (green apple), the heavy lactic acid added a nice sourness but added to the astringency as well, watermelon unfortunately was not much, but I did get some decent gose notes

Picked up a 4 pack of this at the brewery. Apparently there is a plumbing issue and as such they cannot actually serve people in the taproom, however, Dave can still brew beer there. Weird; bathrooms finally kick? And occasionally release cans it seems. 5 cases released of this, or presumably 120 cans.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice just barely chill hazed gold with a thin one finger white head that faded very quickly to leave no lacing and thin wisps.

S - Aromas of slightly sweet watermelon juice. More of a watermelon hard candy or gummy candy than anything. I don't get any salinity on the nose, nor do I get any lemon or spice notes. Heavy swirls just intensifies the watermelon notes. The watermelon is very enjoyable but I don't really get any gose characteristics at all. Blindfolded this smells more like a 'fruit beer' ala 21st Amendment or the type of beer you might get that comes with a watermelon slice on the rim.

T - Taste is more of that sweeter watermelon juice and watermelon candies. There's the gose. Big lactic tartness, wheat like flavour. There's actually some real nice salinity going on as well especially on the finish. Just lingers; if this flavour was plum instead of watermelon I'd say this 100% tasted like Umeboshi. I don't get any herbal notes, no coriander and such which is typical for the style.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, body is light, however the finish is very flemmy. I have to swallow a few times afterwards to try and clean out my throat after finishing a sip.

O - Overall this was still surprisingly well. There are plenty of stylistic flaws; quite clear, the flem educing mouthfeel from the acidity was a bit rough, and there really wasn't any herbal notes at all. What elements are good though are quite good. I absolutely love the level of watermelon here which is a difficult flavour to translate in a beer. The salinity is spot on which is something that brewers tend to go light on. This just lacks what makes a gose a gose as this drinks more like a salty, lactic, watermelon beer and while that's not a bad thing, certainly quite enjoyable in the summer, it's hard to go much higher on this beer due to the style flaws. If you could take the base gose that say Westbrook does and give that this level of watermelon it would be just insanely good.
