A white stout brewed for the shortest night of the year. Brewed entirely with pale malts, but with dark tastes, the Light Night is a liquid paradox.

Pours a clear amber liquid, with little foam that dissipates immediately. It'd look more like a dark bourbon, were it not for the very thin strips of carbonation floating to the top.
The smell is citrusy, herbal, a bit medicinal, mixed with soft caramel. Almonds and raisins also come to mind, when the drink gets a bit warm.
The taste is quite different from any beer I have tasted, with lots of herbal spices / medicinal herbs being immediately present (like in a spiced beer), followed by a hot sweetness (hot due to the alcohol, I assume, but probably also due to the spiciness).
The mouth-feel is great, very smooth and velvety, with a soft sharpness due to the low (but present) carbonation.
Very nice beer to try on a cold day (even though I had it midday in August), but not very sessionable due to the high ABV.
