Black. Brown foam, two fingers, beautiful and elegant.
At the nose fresh citrus notes, pine, tamarind.
At the taste dark malts, tamarind, and a very unexpected blueberry.
Then balsamic notes of pine neddles.
Very strange beer, but really good and drinkable.

Really dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has dark malts, dark fruits and lots of dank hops. Taste starts fruity, slightly smokey and roasty. Finish is also fruity with berry notes but also bitter coffee. Light to medium body but the mouthfeel is really smooth. Overall it's a unique tasting black IPA with lots of forest fruits and roasted malts.

Brown, not black. The smell is too reminiscent of cough medicine, but I do get the blueberry as advertised. The evergreen noted may be spruce instead of the pine we associate with hops. Flavor is so dry, surprising considering the blueberry and molasses flavors. Man, I wish I wasn't thinking of cough syrup. Still enjoyable. Getting some nice bitterness and earthiness, so the fruit doesn't overwhelm. Very interesting, and well done.

L: Dark black beer, two finger head, chocolate malty head, nice looking beer

S: Berries, not dark fruit berries but sweeter, cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, smells darker and slighty sticky, smells like a berry starburst, great aroma

T: An amazing blend between the hops and malt and fruit. A smokey flavor comes into play with the malt but dances with the fruit flavor in harmony. Multiple tastes going on make it complex and delicious.

F: Medium body, carbonation is not overpowering but not to light, finishes smooth with no bad aftertaste or kick to it. Slightly thicker than your normal IPA but not resinous or to sticky.

O: Very solid Black IPA with a masterful blend of flavors. Wish I could get more!

Pitch black pour with a vigorous light-tan head with very nice retention and a lot of lacing on the side of the glass walls afterwards. Dank smell, quite hoppy, with notes of pine, oak and sour stuff (like vinegar, but not quite). The taste is bitter with a sour hint, with notes of pine, grapefruit, dark berries and, surprisingly, white wine. A very interesting beer - medium carbonation and medium body, with the aftertaste being bitter and salty.
