Dark mahogany color with tan head. Aroma has brown sugar, molasses, dried dates and other dried fruits, sweet liquor, really complex. Taste starts on the sweet side and has lots of dried figs, dates, raisins, wood barrel. Finishes with a nice, earthy bitterness balancing out the beer and making it really drinkable for 14% ABV. Medium, sticky body with light carbonation. Really good barleywine. Complex tasting yet quite easy to drink for the high ABV.
