Immediately the tastes of the rolling Glens of the Scottish Highlands will come to mind — rich warming grains, sweet honey, pecans and a hint of alcohol. Right after will come the lapping waves on a rain-battered North sea island — the gentle smoke of a peat campfire, the smell of the sea on a cold night, exotic liquorice, and a cracked black pepper spiciness to finish up.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a dark brown, almost black. Nose is full of caramel, some licorice, and some dark fruit. Taste is crazy. Bitter black licorice and whisky. Really interesting. Doesn't really taste like a Scottish Ale, but there you go. Some nice sweetness, chocolate, and coffee. Getting a slight alcohol burn on the back end. Mouthfeel is incredible - really robust and chewy.
