My last bier of the night, and I opted to splurge a bit... Had a 0.33l bottle at Cafe Frape in Maastricht on 19SEP19. This one set me back €9.50 - yes, a bit pricy, but.... WTF, Gus?! Label says it's a "Pedro Ximinez Sherry BA White Stout". Ok, then!!
Served, oddly, in a shaker pint glass. It was a deep copper color. Had a touch of haze after some bottle sediment was swirled in. Had a thin, creamy, light tan head, with light lacing. Nose was mild, with caramel, vanilla and sherry noticed. It was fairly smooth, and body was a nice medium-plus.
Taste had more caramel in a nice malty base. Vanilla showed up again, with some toffee. The Sherry aging was there lending a pleasing sweetness. It was quite warming; a definite sipper. Different but quite enjoyable. Cheers!

Picked up a bottle of this in Italy and flew it all the way home to the US. Luckily it survived the trip fully intact. Great beer. Rich and warm with a perfect balance of booziness and sweetness. Being a white stout, there's a very pleasant caramel backend to the flavor profile that pairs well with the natural sugary taste of the sherry. I wish I was able to find this at home; good stuff.
