A rich Imperial Stout, brewed to be gluten reduced for those who still like to live on the edge.
Taste: Sweet cedar wood and toasted bread jumps out first, with a decadent dose of rich dark chocolate coated in treacle. Floral manuka honey is then joined by elegant pecan and a touch of bitterness to balance before rounding out with an assertive malty backbone.
Appearance: Dark chocolate hue with a mocha-brown head.
Nose: Rich roasted chestnuts and candied dates mingle with toffee and dark chocolate notes jumping out as your glass warms up.
Malts: Pale malt, Munich malt, Buckwheat malt, Carafa 2 special, Oat malt, Flaked oats, Cara pale, Special B, Red malt, Buckwheat hulls, Demerara sugar
Hops: Columbus, Southern Promise

The pour reveals dark garnet hued liquid that appears black and opaque in the glass; thin, frothy head, khaki colored. Fantastic aroma loaded with red fruit esters; cherries and strawberries; trace of dark roasted malts. Very good taste; cocoa powder with light milk chocolate; moderate booziness; whiskey; mild bitterness. Heavy body; smooth and silky; modest alcohol warmth throughout.
The beer is approximately a 1 1/2 years past its best by date yet still delivers some great delights. The surprise to me was the smell, all fresh and inviting. The taste was borderline 3.75 / 4.0 for me, but I opted for the lower score if only because the alcohol came across a tad sharp at the finish. Regardless, a nice gluten-reduced imperial stout to this day.
ABV: 10.5%; pouring temperature: 48 °F; bottling info: BD 12062019 BB 12062021

Black, light brown foam.
Intense smell, definitely roasted, coffee.
But, overall, quite smooth.
Hazelnut, roasted, alcohol, creme caramel.
Red fruit and medlar. Amaretto, a hont of spiciness in the end.
Same for the taste. Ok, not bad, but meh.
It lacks something.

De 32gp. En copa Teku. Con papas fritas Los Rosales. Jugando a Hogwarts Legacy. Ris clásica sin adjuntos bien hecha y con el añadido de no tener gluten sin que ello afecte a la experiencia en nada

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10.5%. Pitch black colour, minimal tan head. Sweetish aroma of roast malts, chocolate, honey and treacle. Moderate to low carbonation. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, also notes of coffee, roasted nuts and moderate bittering hops.

Pours a three finger tan head that fades slowly, leaving some lace. Black color, no highlights. Good carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Chocolate and dried fruit nose. Flavor has some sweetness with hints of bitter chocolate. Higher ABV, 10.5% mainly hidden. Decent gluten-free stout. $6.49 for a 330ml bottle from Beverage Warehouse, Winooski, Vt.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Pours pitch black, not a photon gets through. 2mm fine-bubble dark tan cap of bubbles.
S- Deeply roasty-toasty, I also register the ABV%. There is also a subtle puddingy note, for a moment I think cherry, the next I think black treacle, then vanilla...
T- Boom! It's clearly liquor-barrel aged. A gentler/rounder liquor, might it be brandy, or even cherry-brandy perhaps? I also get major cocoa.
F- It's puddingy, big and robust and with quite an ABV% zing to it. [Some say the latter is BAD, 'it's BAD brewing to let the ABV% show' - well, you decide about that ;)].
O- Darn foxy. It is like a turbo-ABV'd dark-chocolate dessert that's been morphed into a beer. Big bold and pungent, one for slow sipping. Very enjoyable.
Review #1922/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the lables to see what I missed! ==> Gluten-free, Imperial Stout. Contains: barley, rye, oats, buckwheat.
330ml bottle BB: 06/01/2023 £4.70 Bought from TremblingMadness, York/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

Bottle at Las Buenas Pulgas, served in a snifter glass. Black colour, medium beige head that fades to a ring around the glass. Some lacing. Aroma of dried fruits, chocolate, coffee, molasses Medium to full body, creamy texture, good carbonation. Bitter smokey finish. Taste is smokey, dried fruits, coffee, chocolate. Good, not great.
