This beer looks quite good, it misses a little more foam & carbonisation, though the colour is amazing. The beer constains yeast particles which I personally do not like very much. The lemon cest as per label is not detectable and the vanilla / cacky flavours taste artificial. Moreover the beer is overly sweet, a the sense that the sweetness is more of a hollow, bodyless sweetness. I could imagine that blueberries could give the beer an extra hint of sourness / tardness to balance the sweetness.

11.2 ounce bottle, born on date of 28012021, best by date of 28012023 stamped on the top part of the bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head that stuck around a little while. Small amount of lacing. Aroma is very sweet, the brew smells mostly like vanilla and cream, along with some lemon zest, chocolate and graham crackers. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some dark bread, dark fruit and roasted malt flavors noticeable too. It's a very sweet tasting brew, almost too sweet but luckily it didn't get to that point. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and a bit creamy with a good amount of carbonation. This certainly reminds me of a cheesecake, definitely worth picking up especially if you're into the sweeter tasting beers!

It was only a matter of time before the pastry porter looks to cheesecake for inspiration in taste. Pohjala looks at the trendy pastry stout and says, "here, hold my spatula."
Their Cheesecake Island comes with a very dark brown body, easily mistaken for black through its center. As its coffee-like body settles, a frothy creme releases to allow a scent of chocolate, toffee, sorghum, vanilla, cream and a hint of lemon to waft across the nose. Boldly malted, the sweeter upstart of the porter gives first impressions of those vanilla, cakey, sorghum and cream flavors with a nougat-like creamy texture.
As the flavors align on the middle palate, the sweetness makes room for the more toasty flavors to gain steam. Coffee, toasted bread, roasted nuttiness and chocolate all bring a more robust flavor, but the sweeter and creamier flavors sooth the palate and bring a lightness of buttercream. As hints of dark and vinous fruits rise with plum, currant and dates, its lemon additions remain modest on the finish and only work to brighten the beer in a zesty balance.
Full bodied and soft like many pastry stouts, this beer may be on an island, but its certainly not stranded as the beer will draw the sweet tooth of many. Finishing malty-sweet and with a kahlua-like spice, a long extension of cake batter and latte remain.

De Hopt. En copa Teku. Jugando a The Touryst. La verdad que no me ha evocado a un postre de tarta de queso para nada, más bien a alguna clase de refrescante pastel de limón. En cualquier caso, ha sido una experiencia absolutamente deliciosa, en la que el abv estaba muy bien oculto
