Copenhagen 28/3 2022. 44 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Simple green label with a grey sphere hovering in the middle telling me that this is a crisp and hoppy lager beer.
Pours unclear yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with fresh citric and grassy notes. Sweet pale malts, bread and grains. Fresh grass and citrus. Dry vibe.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Crisp and hoppy indeed.

I had this beer on tap in a stemmed glass at Hops Beer Bar in Budapest.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a dash of haze and a thin layer of foam that leaves a little bit of lace on the glass.
Smell: sweetish malt with a dash of hop character and a rather pronounced yeastiness. Kind of like a pre-prohibition lager.
Taste: slightly sweet malt with some toasty character, along with a notable yeastiness and a rather pronounced bitterness. This is listed as an adjunct lager but doesn’t taste super adjunct-ey to me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: not a bad lager at all. It’s not as crisp as I like to see in the style, but it has a character of its own.
