Small, but frothy, white head that settles slowly and leaves a ring of lace in its wake. The liquid is cloudy, creating a white hue to the pale gold color.
Attractive bouquet of floral hop. Piney with a touch of earthiness. The paler malt, while faint, still provides some balance to the nose.
Below average body; the carbonation is also elevated creating a spritzy beer. Mouthfeel-wise, it's a lawnmower offering. The taste, however, is strong. Holding the liquid in my mouth, I can taste the weaker, standard pale malt. Even here, I can feel the harsh bitterness wanting to take over. The swallow is where that happens, with a flash of pure black pepper on the back of the tongue. Oddly, this does not create an overly long aftertaste. I predict Hop Heads will love this beer; I find it to be to unbalanced for my liking.
