Black colour, small tan head.
Aroma: vinous aroma of red wine, oak and dark fruits. Rye whisky, roasted malt, dark chocolate, hint of molasses, fermented plums, syrup, sweet rye cake (memma).
Taste: sweet chocolate, red wine, rye whisky with a distinct alcohol taste. Sweet rye bread, syrup, red fruits and grapes, raisins. Port.
Wow!

Blind tasted ex it's name above and it's ABV%
L- Properly inky black, held to a halogen bult not a single photon makes it through the glass. 2mm very dark tan micro-bubble, very impressive for the ABV%. [Surface tension vs bubble retention etc]
S- It has a whisky note. Plus a sense of richer roasty-toasty.
T- Wooooooah... cocoa ...whisky ... deeply roasted... well rich ... a smokey note in the tail. And this bottle has been started fridge cold so all Taste notes should grow as it warms a touch. ps... After say 5 mins of slow-sipping a sweetness is building, best not linger... ....5-10m in and the liquor note begins thumping...
F- Quite viscous on the palate (suggests v high carbs), heavy, liquor-note helps counter the sweetness in place of hops which seem quite low-key in comparison.
O- Well it's 'not exactly subtle'! :) This is a beast, a thumper, fascinating to try but unlikely to be one I'd choose to buy again as it is a bit of a bludgeon. The compromise would be to buy it intending to share with a beer-head of a friend. A 330ml of this is slow-sipping it's that 'loud', sharing it would also allow it to be enjoyed colder before it turns into a Rambo-brew.

Now the text/score is I done I'll check the lable.
Bought from Trembling Madness, York 330ml bottle £10 ouch - 14% 'BB 01/08/2028 - N0705'.
Other lable highlight: Finnish rye whisky barrels, barley+oats, conditioned on vanilla beans.
