Drinking out of a small goblet.
Pours an almost black mahogany with a very thin head.
Smells of maple, roasted malt.
Nice smooth silky mouth feel.
Tastes of sweet maple backed by dark roasted malts.

The colour was onyx black with a dark tan head. The nose was redolent of maple sugar, blackstrap molasses, Brooks prunes and cassis. The palate was thick but not cloying, with burnt dark amber maple syrup, treacle, smoky maple wood and cotton candy . The finish was long, brooding and laced with muscavado

From the 11.2 oz bottle in a snifter. This big brew pours a murky blackish brown with a
modest head of fizzling foam that sears to a thin khaki ring with modest legs. Nose of dark
chocolate, maple, subtle wood, moderate char, and dark fruits. Flavors surpass the nose with
maple, toasted oak (maple by description-edit), subtle smoke, char, and dark berry melange of
black, blue, and raspberry. Mouth feel is full, slick, coating, moderately warming, medium light
teetering on light carbonation, and a bitter malt finish that is moderately dry.
Overall, a decent little imperial that is loaded for bear. Big, robust, and full flavored.....she's
a banger!

Aroma of maple, apples, wood, chocolate.
Full body, creamy texture, flat carbonation. Sweet finish.
Taste follows the aroma.
Pretty good.
