Pours brown with an optimistic head that quickly fails. The nose is of malt, smoke, and coconut. The taste is smokey of course but more of the campfire variety. Soft but watery. Very oily aftertaste.
Not worth more than once, if that.

Poured from 330mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 4/2/23.
Appearance: medium amber-brown hue with a light haze and a thin finger of frothy tan foam. Not too bad.
Smell: a little sweet, with a caramelly malt character and a good level of smoke. It's not a crazy level of smoke, but it definitely reminds me of smoked meats or smoked cheeses. I quite like it.
Taste: the smoke adds more astringency to the flavor than I care for, and the sweetness doesn't quite balance the smokier and more bitter aspects of the beer. But, you expect that to a certain extent with smoked beers.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a decent smoked beer, although perhaps not perfectly balanced (again -- even for a smoke beer).
