the beer i believe is actually called cloudblast, not cloudburst, but maybe there was more than one version of this or something. its good stuff, a lighter hazy, super modern for a town that feels a little behind the times, mostly dry hopped but pretty pungent, aromatic and flavorful both, and quite good, even easy drinking for the style, i think they did a nice job with this, and it was a fun pint to connect with an old friend over, man does time ever go by fast! it has notes of lemon, lemongrass, and tangerine, it pops with herbal greenness but not in a lousy over hopped way, no bite at all, and its only medium bodied at the most, lighter and fresher and easier to me than many of its peers. i think there must be some wheat in the base of this, it has grain balance without any apparent sweetness, and overall this seems well composed and nicely planned out. i am getting over hazy ipa pretty quick here, and was actually struck today by a beer that could easily be called old school in the style, but i have more patience for this somehow, its just good. it was called blast not burst when i had it, but its solid, likely the same thing? worth seeking out, ahead of the rest of them...

The best beer I had on my recent trip to Montana.
