Located on the main street through town. Customer room features booths, a community table, and the bar. Brewing setup on the other side of building, and visible through glass. About thirty taps, with a good selection of styles. Food service looks to feature BBQ. Western hospitality for service. Cooler has beer to go.

Visited 4th of July weekend the fireworks show in this town is killer. Good BBQ, great beers. The brewing system is very interesting. It's all worth spending the night in Tonopah.

This is a good, but not great, brewpub with a mostly BBQ menu. All in all, it's hardly a top-notch brewpub in any way but it is a great addition to the Tonopah area and is definitely worth the stop for a drink or food if in town and especially if spending the night. If in the area, I would almost certainly come back.
The place itself is ok, mostly plain and basic but with some nice touches. It is a basic, functional commercial building that looks like it has been spiffed up with some artsy-industrial decor outside, a nice sign on the front that is a good touch, and a quirky giant light-up pickaxe out front - reference to the mining of the area, the shape of the county, and the slogan "The Pick of Nevada." It has some outdoor seating with some shade bt it's right along Hwy 95. Inside is pretty plain, dark with small windows buut it has a nice wooden bar with some nice details to jazz it up.
Beer selection is standard and limited. Quality seems pretty good based on the limited sampling we had.
Menu is mostly just BBQ and related items. The food is good, not great. The BBQ is at least smoked but it is a bit dry and bland. The sauces they have are all very similar, mostly differing in sweetness and spiciness rather than style (i.e., not Kansas City vs. Carolina style). They are pretty good. THe cole slaw is very good, the beans are great.
Service is fine if a bit gruff.

(#34 of 49) On our 26-day pub crawl, and after a long drive from the Bay Area, this place was like an oasis in the desert. We stopped here because it was on our way to Denver, and was the only town on our route where a motel and a brewery were both available (conveniently right across the street from each other, and a bonus was that the brewery also served food). The building has an exterior that gives the impression of adobe, very fitting for the Southwest, and some picnic tables were located on a patio by the entrance. The interior has a nice, antique oak bar and back bar with a dozen seats, and a TV was on the rear wall.
We ordered a sampler flight of all 11 of the beers that were available so that we could evaluate all of them. All of them were brewed to style, and some exceeded its typical style characteristics, so that our scores ranged from a 3.0 up to a 4.0 (the Frail Sister Pilsner was very tasty). The Molten Silver Ghost Pepper IPA is VERY hot, so be forewarned! The .999 IPA was more on the malty side than the hoppy side, but it was still tasty. Beer by the pitcher is available here, and we noted a few bottles of wine on the back bar. Growlers to-go are offered too.
The pub has a BBQ smoker outside, and the rest of the menu was a nice variety of items that should satisfy everyone. The brisket that I ordered was woefully short on any smoky flavor, but overall our meals were deemed better than average.
When craft breweries are sparse along your route, it's great to find one that quenches you thirst and fills your belly.

Beer in the high desert. Awesome. They were out of hot dogs the day I was there so I bailed because they had no other options for my kids.

Im open to the idea that after driving across Nevada alone I was just ready for some company and a beer but I think there's more to my fondness for Tonopah brewing than just a stop on a lonely drive. I pulled in thinking I'd grab a quick bite with a tasting flight and get back on my way to that nights destination in Mammoth Lakes. BUT the second I got a whiff of the bbq smoke coming from behind Tonopah I knew Id be sticking around a bit longer. I was the only one in the taproom so I had my pick of seats at the gorgeous antique bar and the gals at the brewery were super friendly as they took my order for ribs and started me on my tastings. I sampled their Ghost Miner (with ghost pepper), the Mucker Irish Red and the Frail Sister Pilsner but my favorite was the Half-Life Hefe. The ribs were excellent. As in excellent. Im an Arkansas girl who lives in North Carolina BBQ country and these ribs are reason enough to stop in Tonopah. Business picked up just as I was leaving and the ladies were just as friendly with a crowd as they'd been with solo me. Mammoth lakes was still hours away so I grabbed some root beer in a souvenir growler to go and hit the road. Tonopah is somewhere you have to mean to be; I don't think anyone is there by accident and I don't know when I'll be through there again but the Ghost Miner and the smell of those ribs will haunt me till then. If you get a chance to drive from Vegas to Yosemite its on your way. Stop in and get your Hefe and Q fix.
