From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This beefy roasted beast pours a nice
blackish brown with cola highlights and a decent head of off white
foam that settles to a thick ring, thin light pool, and features nice
light sudsy lacing. Nose of chocolate, char, coffee, and caramel malts.
Flavors follow with light exception. Heavy bakers cocoa and medium
heavy char notes wash over herbal and strong piney hops with a fading
raisin note that is touched by coffee grounds on the rear of the taste.
Excellent mouth feel; medium carbonation, coating full body, and a bitter
malt and char finish with a lingering hops note.
Overall, a decent brew but a touch too heavy on the hops and not
enough on the sweeter side of the malt profile. Nice but somewhat
raw.
A roasted lovers dream with sticky pine hops on the finish; good if that is
what you like.

Got a can of this for Christmas from an uncle-in-law. Served from a tulip.
Look:
Pours a very dark brown with no head. Lacing is average.
Smell:
Smells terrible, like malt that has not fully fermented mixed with ammonia. Strangely it reminds me of Apple Juice. This may be one of the worst Imperial Stouts I have ever smelled.
Taste:
Taste is even worse than the smell. It does not seem like the beer has fully fermented. There is a cloying sweetness that is unpleasant and leaves a bad aftertaste. I'm searching for something redeeming about the taste but not much there.
Feel:
Mouth feel is average for the style.
Overall:
This is not a good beer. Too many decent alternatives out there for me to purchase this.

12 ounce can, canned on 161013 (October 10, 2016). Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good enough. The brew smells like roasted and caramel malt, bittersweet chocolate, and a bit of coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma but there's also some grainy malt flavor noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought it was an enjoyable brew, I liked it. $9.99 a 4-pack.
