This easy-drinking Vienna Lager owes a tip of its cap to a timeless autumn tradition. A chance to clear your mind before Saturday’s main event. This crushable lager character comes via Vienna, Munich & pilsner malt, and Mt. Hood hops. This is a lager that’s in formation and ready to march.

Taster at brewery. Clear, bright golden pour, wispy white head. Grainy, malty aroma and taste, bready notes. More pale lager than Vienna. Sticky and dry.

An homage to Ohio State's legendary marching band, Skull Session pours a beautiful deep amber color. Maltier than previous iterations, this year's brew is sweet and crushable.

I got a 6pck of this from my local beer store around the corner. It poured a clear amber with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had some hop bitterness and caramel malt. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with a bitter fin ish. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

It is the first time in my life I am having a Scarlet Lager (Skull Session from Landgrant, Ohio, ABV 5.5%, IBU 22). Since Scarlet Lager is not a recognized style here I added it as a light Lager. Certainly quite interesting color and look. It is light but I think it tasted good.
Look: semi-clear reddish-scarlet hue with a thick off-white head.
Aroma: sweet malts and some pine
Taste: It has a peculiar amber reddish color, there's sweet caramel and crackers as well as some piney hops at the end.
Feel: Light body
