Legend has it that Molé was improvised in the Mexican state of Puebla by a convent of nuns, Who Threw any and Everything in the pot ahead of an Archbishop’s visit. Mother Superior named the concoction for its molé (mix) of ingredients. Dried chiles provide heat, chocolate lends richness, and patience imparts a deep complexity. It’s a hearty dish, oft enjoyed at celebrations, full of flavors that translate joyously in this cozy, soul-warming Holiday Porter.

12 oz can born on 11/29/19 poured into a snifter at 53 degrees F
L - murky and oily, head disappeared immediately
S - light chili and cinnamon
T - very light bodied for a porter. Chili and chocolate flavors have faded over a year in the can
F - light mouthfeel and slight carbonation
O - not one of my favorites, doesn't taste like a porter. Chocolate flavor all but gone

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant store. It poured a murky opaque dark with no head and no lace. The scent had subtle spice. The taste was not easy to drink with hints of mocha roast and spice. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a big disappointment.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74---Cheers Dude!
This unique brew pours a dark brown with a modest head that
fizzles fast to a thin ring with faint tea highlights. Nose of pepper
and faint malts----very faint nose with hints of cocoa. Flavors
show a vast improvement over the nose with chili peppers,
cocoa, faint coffee, dark raw cocoa, and earthy malts. Nice mouth
feel; medium light body, smooth, lightly coating, moderately slick,
and finishing moderately dry and warm from the chili additions.
Overall, very nice and unique.
Cheers

12 ounce can, canned on 2019-11-29. Served in a Land Grant pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a bit. Not much lacing. The aroma has a molé (obviously since it's a molé porter) smell to it, with cocoa, chiles, earth and dark bread noticeable. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt and a vegetal flavor. It's a really unique smelling and tasting brew! Chile heat isn't strong by any means but the pepper flavor is definitely noticeable! Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. Overall I liked it, but with that being said it's not quite what I'm used to drinking since I can't say I've had many molé beers. But I did like it more the longer I drank it. Definitely worth a try, but I'm pretty sure this was a limited release so I'm not sure how long it will be around. $9.99 a 6-pack.
