Can dated 2-8-23. Land Grant tulip.
A: poured a slightly chill-hazed copper-orange with two fingers of off white head that receded leaving a thin skin of froth and pockets of lacing on the glass.
S: sweet and fruity. Jammy. Apricot preserves with a slight grapefruit peel twinge, on freshly toasted white bread.
T: malty, off dry arrival; presence of floral, grapefruit hops immediately noticeable. Bready malt center that always stays light, never cloying or too sweet. Drying at the end into a pleasant lingering grapefruit/cascade finish.
M: medium bodied with an ale chewiness, but always feels light and effervescent. Never slick. Dare I say, refreshing.
O: A perfectly executed American Pale Ale, in the same vein as Sierra Nevada, but perhaps a touch heavier on the hops at the end. Actually better than the last SNPA I had, as this is way fresher. I wish I had room in the fridge for 6. I hope the March Madness name tie-in means this will be an annual release. I loved and miss Club Tril, but this is way better.
