Collaboration with Combustion Brewery.

This collaboration pushes an old school west coast craft pale ale through the bleeding edge of brewing technology to deliver a state of the art drinking experience. Vapor Cone breaks the hop-barrier with classic Yakima Chief Cascade hops in Fresh-Frozen-Cryo form to retain that just-picked, super aromatic fresh hop character. MaltEurop’s innovative steamed Crystal 40 malt, along with their Pils and Origin LPB, gives this beer its highly drinkable malt backbone, while Star Party thiolized yeast packs an extra punch of big grapefruit, citrus, and grape-forward aromatics.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter thanks to Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This more than solid pale pours a clear amber tinged golden with a
nice head of white foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin dusty layer,
and sports some nice light lacing. Nose of breaded malts, subtle citrus
notes, and honey sweet malts. Flavors pack it in with honey sweet
malts, light breaded malts, light orange zest, light cantaloupe melon,
and herbal hop notes. Mouth feel is medium light, smooth, crisp,
medium light zippy effervescent carbonation, and a finely balanced
herbal hop and lightly sweet malt finish.

Excellent balance, highly quaffable, and a great moderately clean finish....
what more could one want?????

Brew this one again! It should be a go to pale!

Cheers

16 ounce can, no dating I noticed on it but pretty sure this was a March 2023 release. Served in a Combustion pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold color with about an inch or so frothy off-white head that stayed around for a long time. Lots of lacing, too. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dank/earthy hops, grapefruit, citrus peel, and some bready malt. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some white grape and stone fruit flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth, coating and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall pale ale, wouldn't mind buying this one again in the future but since it's a collab I doubt it will be around for very long.
