From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude! This
lurker from the dooms day beer closet pours a meddled reddish brown with
a nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some
nice lacing. Nose of toasted malts, brown sugars, light herbal hops, and dark breaded
malts. Flavors hit the mark with toasted malts, light bread crust, caramel, light herbal hops,
and sweet brown sugars. Mouth feel is medium, smooth, medium light carbonation, and
finishing subtly creamy.
Overall a stellar red!
Cheers

12 ounce can, dating is smudged but looks like it was canned sometime in November 2023. Part of the Land Grant University Classic Styles variety pack. Label says 6% ABV. Served in a Land Grant pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear reddish/amber color with about an inch and a half light tan head that stuck around a long time. Good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like caramel, toasted malt, breadiness and some earthy hops. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some dark fruitiness too. Leans more malty than hoppy. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall red ale, certainly worth picking up!

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear amber with off white head that is leaving a some lace. The scent had subtle grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright semi sweet caramel malt base with subtle biscuit and toast presence. The mouthfeel was lighterin body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
