From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This solid little stout pours a muddled brownish black with a very nice head
of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some very
nice lacing. Nose of roasted malts, light coffee, dark cocoa, and light char notes.
Flavors follow the nose with dark chocolate, char, deep roast, and dark coffee with
moderately assertive grain note. Mouth feel is medium light, medium light carbonation
which is welcoming for the style, and a roasted lightly bitter malt finish.
Overall, a SOLID stout that would work well for a good session!
Cheers

12 ounce can, date stamp is small and smudged but looks like it was canned sometime in November 2023. Part of the Land Grant University Classic Styles variety pack. Served in a Land Grant pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a little while. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like cocoa, coffee, and roasted malt. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma but with the addition of some graininess. Smells sweeter than it tastes, with there being more roastiness in the flavor. Mouthfeel/body is light, it's a bit creamy and smooth, also easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, wish Land Grant would sell this one year round since there's a lack of regularly available lower ABV craft stout options available around here. Certainly worth trying!
