things all taste a little bit new here still, but they are certainly on the right track and i expect big things in the semi-immediate future. this is a fine pale, east coast style but quite heavy, unrefined, and raw. its dense and almost green and soupy to look at, lively as it is from the tap, its just a little too loaded with sediment to be real attractive. the aroma is great though, fresh green hops with a nice citrus bent and plenty of bitterness for a hazy one. grapefruit and pithy lemon, with a strong vegetal component thats there in the flavor too, some hop bite in the middle and late, but its not sweet or malty or even sloppy yeasty despite its visual density. i like the smell and taste of the hops, but the rest of the beer seems a bit amateur, they all kind of did in here, but its early yet, and i suspect this will keep getting better batch to batch. for now its not as drinkable as it should be, but its mostly right. i expected a lot more wood aged and wild beers in here given their name, they must be on the way...
