a really neat beer, i guess i wasnt expecting it to be anything more than a wit, so the funky, mature, sour elements of it were just great, surprising and really good, super well refined. nice and clear, bright brassy golden, fizzy and holding its head well from the bottle. high shine, lots of bubbles, real pretty. aroma of coriander, fresh and earthy and peppy, light citrus, heavy white wine, even chardonnay specifically, has to be wine barrels right? subtle elderflower and orange in the taste up front, pretty high but real clean acidity, this is very sour, but its dry and tidy, no weird side notes or residuals here, and a well developed brett profile as well, all in the finish, musty and grassy and wet to me, exactly the right proportion for this. its cool to have a tangy and funky wit like this, a clever recipe and a really well made beer, and the barrels sure add a lot. this is vinous and lively and incredibly interesting, about as sour as i want it to be. overall a splendid beer, one i will remember, and a really nice surprise. a style i think that lends itself well to this sort of escalation, just a very impressive beer here, super mature, really fabulous!

Short phone review. Nice tartness and brett sourness mixes with orange juice and grassyNess. Slight grainyness as well. Drank super easy. Fun take on the style.
