Gingerbread Christmas

This one pours a dark brown-ish color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like overly sweet caramel malt, brown sugar, raw and astringent ginger, and lots of other vague and too strong spices.

This is just straight up a swing and a miss for me, as the ginger is just raw, vegetal, and way too dominant here. On top of that, the base barleywine is syrupy and way too sweet, and there's no real interesting barrel aged character to help mitigate any of these flaws.

This is thick, but syrupy, with very little carbonation, and very little drinkability.

I really, really did not enjoy this one. I'm not sure what exactly the intention was here.
