This one pours a dark brown-ish color, with a small head, and no real lacing.
This one smells like sugary and cloying maple, caramel, raisin, cinnamon, overly sweet banana, and some bourbon.
This is basically a mess. It's just so ungodly sweet, as the maple and banana are both overdone here, making it impossible to really tell what the base barleywine even tastes like. I maybe get a tiny bit of barrel here, but it's just completely overwhelmed by the maple. There's also much too cinnamon, too, throwing the balance of everything completely out of whack.
This is thick, syrupy, and cloying, with a distinct lack of drinkabilty. I could only really get through 1.5 oz of this one.
This beer didn't really need to be made, and even if it had to be made, it wasn't done well. It's a thorough swing and a miss.
