12oz can. No dating information found.
Black colored body. Brief tan head. No lacing.
Aroma is black coffee forward, freshly brewed. Support from roasted dark malts.
Taste again is black coffee forward, supported by the roasted malts. Has some brief soapy notes about half way through, but these don't linger. Rather harsh, with a charred end. Has some chocolate notes at the end and in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Low level of bitterness, but there is the char. Okay carbonation.
If you like cream in your coffee you probably will not like this. If you like the jolt of intense black coffee you may like this beer.

On tap at the Arts District taproom. Not sure is the style changed or was mid-labeled on addition to BA, but this one is a coffee stout, no Belgian. Look is impressive, opaque black, tight tan head. Smell is dark chocolate. Taste is more dark chocolate, brews coffee and sweet malts. Feel is thick and creamy. Reminds me of an oatmeal or milkshake stout tho I don’t think it is either. Overall a nice beer. I’d happily try again

Appearance: dark brown with a short 1/4" head.
Smell: coffee is detectable.
Taste: roasted malt, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and a mild earthy bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Light crispness to start, smoother at the finish.
Overall: an enjoyable coffee-forward brew.

This poured a finger and a half of tan head with a soapy tinge of bone left lacing down throughout the glass. Lots of carbonation visible in an almost black color with a twinge of amber around the edge of the glass.r poured from a local 12 oz. can.
The smell was of dark roasted coffee and very rich roasted malts.
Mouth is very crazy because taste is so full but mouth feel is fairly light and finished fairly crisply with no lingering ashes or coffee bitterness.
Overall taste is of coffee, and as such is quite pleasant, There is an almost afterthought bitter of chocolate and coffee that I feel could have been production .
