Amigo is aged on Mexican vanilla, hand roasted cocoa nibs, cinnamon, and a whole host of dried chillies: Guajillo, Pasilla Ancho, Morita, Negro and Chipotle. Deep notes of sweet smoke and vanilla are immediate from first pour. As it warms, spice and dutch cocoa flash across the palate, finishing with a lingering sweet heat.

Tasted on tap at the brewery during "Comrade Day" special release party in Feb 2020.
Swirls of tan head on a pitch black beer. Amazingly complex aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, whiskey. A bit too peppery-hot for me. Peppers drown out what I’m sure would be wonderful chocolate and spice flavors. In the finish, sweetness on the tongue battles it out with hot peppers at the back of the mouth, but the heat mostly wins.
