This was a single can pickup. I think they brought these into Lee's in Reno. Its a play on words, the guitar, the hop, get it?

Pours mostly golden with just a hint leaning into light amber. 2/5" white head. Aroma was kind of mild I thought for a wet hop Strata beer. Had to really search for the aroma of berries or weed. Some light papaya and guava feel to it. Light feel of citrus.

The body had more of a heft and twang to it than expected based on the appearance. I dunno, these seem kind of different for Strata. Just not bursting with the fruitiness. Lacks the fresh green edge of a wet hopper. The commercial tug job references dankiness but it escaped me here. There weren't off flavors per se, it was just relatively mild but had a stronger degree of bitterness than I'm used to with Strata typically.

At this point I'm starting to wonder if the water content in wet hop beers are making them come off as mild compared to all the lupulin powder cryo hops out there.

real nice wet hop ipa here, my first from these guys, on tap at their vegas location, where they do not brew but maintain a fun little taphouse in the arts district. clear and deep golden to brassy toned brew, high airy white head on it from the tap, looks quite light, features strata very prominently in the nose, somewhat more oily than it usually is, fresh format doing that i presume, peachy and orangey, with some sweetness also apparent, bold without being green at all, trace coconut and green snacking grape, a little bit of toasted malt but light there still, very fresh indeed. some stone fruit and even mango up front, slightly more intense in the middle, a spruce type note i dont generally get from strata in pellet form, resinous and intense there, more familiar orange and ripe melon at the end, some sweetness from the grain highlighting and extending its fruitiness, and this seems pretty nuanced and layered for a single hop, more than most anyway, assuming its strata by itself its a neat showcase of it. light bitterness and spicy bit to the back end, but smooth overall with the bit of richer malt in here, just a pinch but it does wonders for balance of flavor and texture here, and this is great ipa, modern and clean, fresh and fruity, my favorite of the beers we had here, although they have a good thing going, diverse beer menu with lots of creativity. not quite up there with the best fresh hop beers of the season this year, but a leader in thats second tier, quality stuff.

Slightly thin on the tongue. Tastes very good though. I get Mango and some pineapple. Light, white head with lots of lacing....
