A: Pours a dark amber-crimson color with a thin head. Lacing is spotty, but the head does retain decently, though it needs to be larger.
S: Citrus hops, most notably grapefruit. There's a substantial caramel malt presence here too that really sweetens up the hop aroma. Definitely a more balanced IPA.
T&M: More grapefruit hop flavor, though it's rather subdued. The malt here is a bit too big for my liking without a substantial increase in hop presence. Body is medium for the style, with a subtle carbonation. Nothing special.
D: If either the hops were increased, the malts were decreased, or both, this would have more flavor and hence be more drinkable. Still, it's nice to see the brewpub make an effort at brewing a high alcohol beer this soon after the law's passing.
