On-tap at the brewpub.
Pours a hazy yellow color with a one-finger bright white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving decent lacing.
Smells of tart lemon, ripe bananas, and husky grain.
Tastes similar to how it smells, although the husky grain has a bit more influence to the flavor's detriment. Tart citrus flavors kick things off and are joined shortly by somewhat meaty malt flavors. These carry through until midway through the sip where mild banana flavors take the edge off before a muddled ending.
Mouthfeel is alright. It's a bit on the thin side but with prickly carbonation.
Drinkability is not so good. As the beer warms the off-flavor associated with the malt grows and I struggled to finish.
Overall this was a less than stellar offering. While not quite terrible, I would strongly steer you toward the APA.
