On-tap at the brewpub.

Pours a purplish-brown color with a one-finger off-white head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving decent lacing.

Smells of ripe fruits - pears and raisins with hints of overripe plums - with mild amounts of brown sugar.

Tastes very similar to how it smells. Sweet malt flavors are soon joined by pears and raisins dusted with brown sugar. The flavors are a bit more skewed toward the malt than the fruit flavors.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a solid thickness with moderate carbonation.

Drinkability is good. I didn't have a problem finishing the glass and could have another.

Overall I think this is the best beer I've had at this brewpub. A solid attempt at the style and well worth a shot.
