Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. No readable date on the can, but I picked this up a few weeks ago at the brewery in Abbotsford.
Appearance: medium golden-orange hue with a bit of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: kind of a toasty, almost biscuity malt character, with a little bit of sweetness. Hops are lower-key, but with a rather earthy character. To me, it's more like a classic English pale than an American one. Not too bad.
Taste: similar flavor profile to the aroma, though a bit richer in volume -- so, toasty, biscuity, earthy, even a little floral. It tastes rather a lot like an English pale, too. I like it, although there's a certain lemony finish that doesn't entirely work for me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: you know, I'd probably call this a 4, if not for the bit of sharpish lemony hops at the end which kinda detracts from the experience for me. Still, a reasonably solid pale ale.

355ml can poured into tulip 13/3/17
a clear golden yellow with lots of bubbles feeding a finger of foam that has decent retention but leaves no lace
S herbal and spicy hops, faint citrus, iced tea powder, some biscuits, pineapple juice and hard toffee
T more grains then the nose, still lots of spicy and herbal hops, it reminds me of an English version of the style
M light and softens up, a little grit and some lemon rind comes out strong on the finish
O OK but nothing memorable, not the hop profile I was hoping for but decent for what it is
pretty basic but decent, not really what I was looking for but perhaps I was just craving different hops...
