Picked up from the (12 barrel) brewery. Bottled October 14, 2009.
Traditionally brewed with barley malt, pilsner yeast and Sterling hops.
A: Clear, golden yellow, white head, very little retention or lace.
S: Grassy & floral with a slightly steelie hop aroma. Hints of sulfury lager character.
T: Grassy & floral hops with some nice biscuity malt, light peppery spicing, slight sulfury yeast character, good bitterness.
M: Smooth moderate body, carbonation is a little lower than most new world pils.
D: An easy drinker.

Pours a clear yellow, thick white head forms, little bit of sticky lace, settles a thin layer. Smell is sweet, floral hops, almost sugary, something I can't place but I like, almost peaches. Taste is bland, sweet malt, grains, cereal, some citrus hops, bread, bit of bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Not good, not terrible.

A new one from Old Yale, but certainly not their best. To light in colour, and rather cloudy. Borders more on a toilet water yellow than anything. Nice white head. Crisp, slightly hoppy smell with a sort of metallic backing in.
Pretty unremarkable taste. Not as crisp and refreshing as I would expect. Hops are toned down, but the malts aren't that remarkable either. Overwhelming taste is sour. No zest at all from the hops.
Carbonation is a bit more in-line with the style. Drinkable, but not very plesant in the flavour department.
