I was curious about this in my local craft section and went for the 6er of cans...It's fairly close, so
looks a tad cloudy, smells pretty standard - fresh, flowery, inviting....
taste is rounded malt sweetness, near buttercreaminess, and light but fulfilling, very malt, but clean finish enough to want more....nice lacing down the glass. Medium or more feel, smooth and damn good. Makes a good two tone with a Highland oatmeal porter! Fairly sweet overall, but pretty damn good. Probably won't repeat, since there are other local Helles lagers I like more. Worth a try, if you see it in the $10 sixer or a single.

Appearance: Yellow-hued body, not quite clear with a scant, brief, white head.
Smell: A faint grainy sweetness with a slight, winy yeast character.
Taste: Sweetish, lightly grainy with a modest herbal hop hint, though not particularly bitter in any way. Again, a slight winy presence. A little crispness felt reaching the sweetish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Drinkable, sure, though perhaps it's not the sharpest iteration the classic German style has to offer.

I pride myself on being able to finish most any beer but Blue Ridge Lager pinned me to the mat. Looks like an amber, smells like musty socks and tastes like garbage can water (or so I will assume). Run, do not walk, away from this beer.
