16 ounce pint - $8.00 at Taco Mac in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Served up a very dark brown, near black body with a slim, ecru-colored head.
Smell: Blended though not overly emboldened dark malts in the nose with some vanilla overtones and lesser, lighter hints of dark fruit.
Taste: A vanilla-infused dark maltiness yielding little touches of coffee, chocolate. Light raisiny fruitiness. Hits a slight cola-like stride midway. Soft, subtle hop character and bitterness. BBL has a semi-dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Would prefer a tick less in the body and a skosh more carbonation, but, other than that, a decent beer.
