Poured into a tulip glass, on tap, at the brewery.
Appearance - Pitch black in color. No head to speak of. Zero lacing.
Smell - Sweet malt nose. A whiff of coffee. A bit of chocolate. Nice.
Taste - Sweet malt favor. Like the nose, a combination of mild coffee and subtle chocolate.
Mouth - Very smooth. Although the carbonation is almost invisible, I did detect a bit of a "fizz."
Overall - This is a very pleasant Stout. The flavors are balanced and substantial without being too overt. A little more carbonation would have been nice but this ale works as is. I recommend you stop on by and have one.
