This insanely thick and robust beast is dripping with chocolate and coffee notes, accented by additions of vanilla. When this beer is poured, the aroma of coffee will knock your block off! Layers of rich chocolate from Ghanan and Ecuadorian cacao nibs, amplified by the Madagascar vanilla beans, compliment the complex coffee notes from a blend of beans roasted by Chicago’s Metric Coffee. This beer is brewed in very small batches and is very limited.

Canned 2/15/23; drank 2/26/23 @ the Yarchives.
Midnight black appearance.
An even pour yielded a HUGE dark tan head; frothy tree-rung lace.
Strawberry syrup, hazelnut, vanilla, graham cracker & chocolate syrup notes in the nose. It's...a lot.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Syrup-y flavors of chocolate, hazelnut, strawberry & graham crackers.
Artificial, syrup-y and tough to enjoy. This is NOT for me.

Cuppa from Maplewood. A series I have been pursuing for quite some time. In 2021, I was able to experience 2 variants. The first is French Vanilla. The velvet body on this stout is unmatched. So silky, so sweet, and so much vanilla and coffee flavor. It has just enough bitterness to round out the decadent beer. More complex and only slightly better than the competitor in PB Stufff.

Had on tap. Jet black viscous body with no mocha head. Smells of dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, and fudge. Thick, chewy, and creamy feel, with fudgy viscosity through out and lingering coffee sharpness. Taste is rich dark chocolate, dark coffee, finishing with bright vanilla and some boozy malt with more fudgy chocolate. Delicious coffee dessert stout
