Tasted in a long stemmed goblet from draft at Maplewood Brewery & Distillery on March 16, 2019. The newest release in the Pastry Case series. A golden ale brewed with white chocolate, vanilla and macadamia nuts. Sweet.

Had on tap. Playful clear gold with a finger of white foam. Smelled of white chocolate, macadamia cookie, sweet malt, and vanilla. Taste is delicious! I have found white chocolate and light nuts to be hard to translate well in beer, but here they shine brightly, really tasting like a cookie, with the pillars of sweet vanilla, cookie dough, sugar and light grains helping round out the flavor. Little light in the body for a blonde, but who cares this is a great dessert blonde.

Dull hazy orange, thin ring of foam, no lacing.
Aroma is the best thing going for it, smells like cake or cookies if that's your thing.
Taste is artificial and sweet, heavy vanilla and lactose, body is medium to thin with some astringency.
A weird and jarring novelty beer, I didn't want more than a couple sips as it was odd and artificial.
Maplewood makes plenty of great beers, but this one wasn't successful.
