16oz can dated 03/23/22 poured into a snifter shows a cloudy, dirty-gold body and briefly supports a 1/2in head of white foam that recedes to a thin film and edge ring and leaves random spotted, and stepped lacing.

Aroma of pineapple and lemon rind, if any, is muted and the flavors match. A light cracker malt balanced the fruity bitterness. Fruit up front, then a fullness, then nothing but bitter hops.

Mouthfeel seems quite thin with the feel falling off with the flavor and an almost sticky aftertaste.

Overall I'd bet it was quite good when fresh, but it should last 2.5 months from canning.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, pineapple, caramel and some pine. It tasted of grapefruit, orange and toasted caramel with a piney bitterness.

Gold to light copper in color with excellent clarity. There’s a fingernail of dishwater white around the rim and covering nearly all of the top. The aroma is of pine, lemon, and crackery malt. I taste bitter pine and some lemon. The mouth is dry, sticky, and crisp.

Nice west coast offering out of Chicago. Little bit of west coast dankness on the nose mixed with some citrus. Fairly light bodied and full of orange and pine in the flavor. White head that lasts with a little bit of lacing.

The Sound is a baseline west coast IPA from Maplewood. Beautiful can that holds a clean, and citrusy beer. Love the giant squid representation.
