16 oz can canned 4/30/25 into a nonic pint glass.
L: Pours 80% hazy dark apricot color with a soapy white head that recedes to edge froth, light steady carbo, very light spots of lacing.
F: Fruity, fruit bread, pear, a note of brown sugar with warming.
T: Sweet fruits, overripe pineapple, oats, light citrus, distant red apple, a hint of honey. Tastes are clean with a minimal aftertaste of malts. There's a light hint of alcohol with warming. It is sweet on the lips.
F: Gently brisk and lightly juicy medium bodied feel with a medium-short length standard finish that isn't dry.
O: Overall relatively sweet tasting with very mild bitterness. I enjoy its no-so-dry finish. It drinks very easy at 8% ABV. It is very good in its style.

Stradling the line between what's juicy about hazy ale and what's refreshing about west coast IPA, Maplewood Brewing turns that line a little wider.
Pouring a standard hoppy haze cast inside a bold golden pour, Sidewalk Surfer rises with a frothy white head and a bright scent of citrus, tropical fruit and stone fruit with a peppery, herbal backdrop. A blend of caramel, honey and granola frames the early malt impressions while the floral hops turn fruity with pink grapefruit, lime, under ripened mango, apricot and nectarine. Drier than usual, the late taste shifts from juicy to dry for a distinctly bitter finish of fresh grass clippings, spruce tip and peppery pine.
Medium bodied, crisp and mostly clean, the beer has the framework of dry and bitter beer but with the newer and fruitier hops of hazier trends for a blend of both sides of the sidewalk.

Pours a slightly unfiltered golden color and features sudsy white head that provides moderate lacing and a little cap on the body of the beer. Looks great in the glass.
The nose is heavy on the stone fruit, specifically peaches, and there’s also some grapefruit and passion fruit, and a bit of resiny pine.
The peach is likewise forward on the taste and delicious, with the tropical fruit following, and the resiny pine providing some bitterness at the back of the palate.
The mouthfeel is medium and edges toward dry. This is a WCDIPA I’d try again.

Clear bright yellow small white bar pour head. Aroma is mild hop notes citrus, grapefruit, orange, berry. Taste is better more intense then the nose, caramel, citrus orange, peach, berry light hop bite. Mouthfeel is bubbly light pep medium. Overall not bad nice to see west coast style even if it isn't a hop monster.

Draft at 44 Canteen. Poured a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sticky lacing. It smelled of orange peel, grapefruit, caramel and resin. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and sharp, pine.

I had a draught pour at a restaurant in Columbia Missouri. It pours a pretty, honey-orange with a half finger of milk-white head and thick, swirling lacing. On the nose is lemon, grapefruit, peach, melon, and floral hops. The taste pops with citrus, peach, red berry, and stone fruit. Citra and Mosaic are a great combination. The wheat and Carapils provide a solid base. The Strata hops are subtle and contribute a dank earthiness that plays well against the fruit. This ale is medium-bodied with appropriate carbonation, and the 8% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, Sidewalk Surfer is a very solid American IPA that paired with with a sirloin sandwich.

1 Pint
Served in an imperial nonic pint glass
This beer pours a brilliant golden hue. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that recedes quickly leaving spotty lacing.
It is a little dank, but I get more sweetness in the aroma. i get citrus and tropical fruit notes.
Fruity flavor. I get a little dankness. Grapefruit
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
Pretty good IPA. I tastes more like a Midwest IPA than a resiny west coast IPA.
