A high-gravity Baltic-style porter brewed with the finest European malted barley, a variety of roasted malts, oats, and finished in the kettle with brown sugar for added depth and fermentability. We cold ferment and lager this for optimum crispness and clarity. This Baltic Porter has a silky mouthfeel and big roasty chocolate notes. It's complex and rich and a perfect sipper for the colder season.

Very dark brown, small tan head. Snot locker ker gets some roasted malt/coffee, a bit of a chocolatey aroma. Coffee/roasted malts, bitter cocoa. Smooth texture, nicely carbonated. Excellent Baltic Porter!

Pours a beautiful dark brown color with a perfect caramel foamy head that dissipates shortly after. Looks amazing. Smell is extremely subtle almost non existent. Taste was an incredible surprise, malty chocolatey, with depth and complexity. Just a wonderful surprise. I didn’t expect this. Mouth feel is dense and thick. I’m stunned by how good this is.

Canned 1/15/25; drank 3/11/25 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dark brown appearance.

A rough pour yielded a small, noisy tan head; decent lacing remained.

Medium roast coffee bean, mild chocolate & faint sea salt notes in the nose.

Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel.

Chocolate & mild medium roast coffee bean flavors up front; mild cream & faint sea salt notes on the finish.

This is a big, bold cold weather beer that I'd have again anytime. Well done, Maplewood!

Appearance: Arrives almost pitch black with a three finger beige head; excellent retention and lacing action

Smell: Roasted malt and strong chocolate aromatics; slight char

Taste: Roast and chocolate forward with a bright crisp finish

Mouthfeel: Full body with moderate to high carbonation; hoppy bitterness on the finish

Overall: You can tell that this has been lagered and it is a really nice take on the style
